When it comes to your email, it’s important to have certain business information available at all times. Adding a signature to your emails is a great way to provide some of your most important contact information, such as your email address, phone number or address or even your photo. It also add a professional touch to each email and ensures a uniform appearance without having to type in this information with every email.
With Google Apps, you can create multiple signature and change your settings on when to include your signature or not.
Although a photo is certainly optional, some recipients will like to know who they are talking to, not just by First and Last name. This allows you to add a more personal touch to your account
To add your photo to your Google Apps account, you will need to be logged into your account, which you can do by going to mail.google.com.
In the top right corner you will select the settings icon, which looks like a gear, and then select the Settings option. You will be directed to the General tab, where you will want to scroll to about the middle of the options to My Picture. Here you will be able to select Change Picture and then browse your computer for the picture you would like to upload. You will be able to make a few small adjustments to the size you would prefer and then you can select Apply Changes.
To add your signature in your Google Apps account, you will need to be logged into your account.
In the top right corner you will select the settings icon, which looks like a gear, and then select the settings option. You will be directed to the General tab, you will want to scroll almost to the bottom to the Signature section. You may type your business contact information, we recommend your name, job title, phone number, address and company logo.
To format the text, you will need to use the buttons above the text box. To insert your company logo, you will need to select the image icon, then browse for the image you would like to insert. Once your image has been inserted, if you highlight the image and then select the link icon you can enter a website address you would like it to be linked to. If someone were to click on the image it would take them to that website.
We also recommend checking the box for the “Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and removes the “-” line that precedes it”. This will allow your signature to show when you also reply to an email. Then select Save Changes at the bottom of the page. If you have an alias you and would like a different signature, please repeat the steps listed above.
